Album Club- March 6- Erykah Badu

I’m currently planning for an Album Club to be held online on my blog on March 6. I’m trying to get interest in the online club as well as the real club, so if you can join in with one or both, that’d be great. The album is Erykah Badu’s Baduizm and has been suggested by a member of album club Jakarta, Rachael.

As it is Rachael’s pick she has decided that we will have the evening at the German centre starting from 6pm. After the album is presented I ask that you bring two of your favourite jazz music tracks to play.

Rachael chose this album because we are going to see Erykah at the Java Jazz Festival next weekend, as well as a host of other musicians — Pat Metheny, Manhattan Transfer, Herbie Hancock, Bobby McFerrin, to name just a few.

Below are a few videos and links to get you thinking about Erykah and her music.

Couldn’t resist this one (there is a fair amount of swearing on this- just so you know)…
